Why Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu teaches leverage, timing, and control — not just strength. Our no-gi program builds practical skills you can rely on, including how to stay safe, create escapes, and finish with clean technique. Whether you’re here for fitness, self-defense, or competition, we’ll help you progress with clarity and confidence.

What You’ll Learn

  • Positional control: guard, half guard, side control, mount, back control
  • Escapes and reversals from bad positions
  • High-percentage submissions: rear naked choke, triangles, armbars, guillotines
  • Modern no-gi systems: back attacks, leg entanglements, front headlock series
  • Transitions for MMA: base, posture, and cage awareness

Who It’s For

Anyone ready to learn and work hard. Beginners start with fundamentals and clear safety standards. Hobbyists get structured drills and rounds that build consistency. Competitors dive deeper into strategy, pacing, and problem-solving under pressure. Ages 10–15 can join our youth program to build confidence and discipline early.

How Classes Run

Each session follows a simple, effective structure with a warm-up, technical instruction, drilling, and optional live rounds. We keep groups small whenever possible to ensure coaching, feedback, and safe training partners.

Safety & Progression

We train hard and smart. Tap early, communicate often, and build at your own pace. Coaches emphasize clean technique and controlled intensity so you improve without unnecessary wear and tear.

What to Wear

No-gi only. Wear a clean t-shirt or rash guard with shorts or spats that have no zippers. Flip-flops are required off the mats. Bring water; we’ll handle the rest. A courtesy shower is available for those who need a quick rinse before their next appointment. Please bring your own towel and soap, and keep showers short.

Kids & Teens (10–15)

Youth Jiu Jitsu focuses on movement, coordination, and confidence. We teach structure and respect while keeping classes engaging and age-appropriate. Expect fundamentals, partner drills, and positive coaching.
